Sorry, but I have to say that I find the heat sinks
hotter than the device quite often.
I also have a laser thermometer, and have compiled
some readings for reference.
By the way, It seems that the only thing the laser
does is help you aim it.
When mine is turned on, it will read whether the
trigger(turns on the laser) is squeezed or not.
One can find quite a range of temps inside a TV,
but, I DO believe that a properly working heat sink
will be hotter than the device fastened to it.
At least, behind, and above the device.
