Yes you are correct.  I forgot to mention that the DVD players with DVI
output is upconverted to 1080i and not true 1080i

Yep, it's VHS vs BETA again ! Even if HD-DVD is better than Blu-Ray it
probably won't win out. VHS won out over Beta because of three letters " R C
