Cloth gloves...Latex Gloves...anything that will prevent the oil from your
skin getting on any High Intensity lamp.

Subject: [TechAssist] HD61lpw42yx1 bad lamp

> Good morning everyone,
> I have to change the lamp in this dlp and the RCA original is not in stock
at my distributor but they have a sub that is the original lamp from what I
can tell, but not in a cage. It is a lamp only. I remember in a RCA school
on this chassis that we shouldn't physically touch the lamp bulb itself so I
was wondering what kind of gloves should be used to put a new lamp in the
old cage. I was thinking of latex gloves but another tech here seems to
remember something about cloth gloves for a similar job back in the day.
