Maybe the load motor SHOULD BE running and it can't because there is no voltage supplied to it. Unplug set. Rotate the motor to move the guideposts up alittle to put the mechanism in a position that the unit would normally try to reset to the stop postion upon plug in. If the unit does not try to correct itself, then check the voltage being supplied to the load motor. It should be there and ususally about 12 volts. If not, then check that the Micro is actually telling the loading motor IC to do it's job. If you do not have the schematic, then look up an equivalent IC in the NTE book and find what pins are the control pins. If the IC does not get a control signal from the Micro, then either the micro is partially not working or look for the most overlooked - A broken pattern. You may already know all this stuff, but I'm just writing it in case you don't. Good Luck, Chris >>> rogerfixit@xxxxxxxxxxx 11/09/05 7:04 PM >>> Load motor does NOT run; take up reel does. Resoldered sensor board; reconditioned mode switch; cleaned surfaces on reels - no difference. Note = power switch has no effect and TV does not come on either. Starting to suspect micro problem.
