Q18109(216434) was the culprit. Parts finder shows it a 215495..this wasn't working. I was having no voltage at emitter..replaced with 216434 and video came back. Set came in originally with open fuse. I replaced defective conv power supply and fuse..adjusted the convergence and sent set home. Customer wasn't ready to have set hooked up right away..so they connected it a few days later and said there was no video. I've run through all the menu options, set the zip code for guide plus to 00000. I can press the PIP button and the tuner video is there. There is no video through RCA jacks, but there is at S-Video. I followed Thomson troubleshooting to the Gemstar module. Pin 33 U16201 is point 85volts. I wasn't sure which plugs to pull to disconnect the Gemstar, so I pulled them all and the voltage on pin 33 drops to almost 0(about .015v). I replaced Q18109 because it looked like there was a chip missing out of it.. Has anyone run into this before? Thank you.
