[TechAssist] Re: Fix NAP 27PT5441/37 dead set

  • From: Randy Evans <tvsvc2000@xxxxxxxxx>
  • To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Date: Tue, 22 Nov 2005 18:16:41 -0800 (PST)

Symptom:
Dead set. Open AC line fuse, 1500. Replacement may blow again.
CLUE If degaussing coil is unplugged fuse blows will stop.

Cause:
Current parameters of degauss resistor and degauss coil

Resolution:
Remove degauss resistor 3523 (white rectangle) and replace using
location
3507 with service code 2122 663 00019, a 3 ohm PTC resistor. Give
close
attention to the marking on the CBA for 3507.

Applies To:
26PW6341/37, 27MS6341/37, 27PT5441/37, 27PT6441/37, 27PT6442/37,
30PW6341/37, 32MS6341/37, 32PT5441/37, 32PT6441/37, 32PT6442/37, L04.1U
AA

Symptom:
After replacing Degauss Thermistor (PTC) 3523 with 3507 as
212266300019, the
fuse 1500 continues to open.

Cause:
The wrong fuse is being used.

Resolution:
Use only fuse part number 242208610914. This is a special time lag
fuse and
is a safety part.

Applies To:
25PT6341/85, 26PW6341/37, 27MS6341/37, 27PT5441/37, 27PT6441/37,
27PT6442/37, 28PW6341/85, 29PT6441/44, 29PT6441/85, 29PT6541/44,
29PT6541/85, 30PW6341/37, 32MS6341/37, 32PT5441/37, 32PT6441/37,
32PT6442/37, 32PW6341/85, 33PT5441/85, L04.1U AA

  Good Luck!
