Thanks BOB actually that is the exact model I am working on ! The problem
was Q3404, turn on transistor. I had unsoldered the base to isolate the
micro "on" signal, but had left the collector and emitter still soldered.
The trans checked fine, but changing it showed it was defective. Must have
been breaking down C-E
