[TechAssist] Re: FIXED Sony KV-32XBR95S, goes into shutdown,relay clicks off and on

I replaced C668, C672, and C662.  Two of these were right off of the
power relay.  Took the chassis back and the set worked!  Question:  Why
would caps off of the power relay cause the set to come on with HV, then
go into shutdown with the relay going click-click, click-click?  Thanks.

Dead - No Power Up - Ry601 Buzzes

Initially, Set Came In Dead. Q603/604 Were Shorted, F602 Dc Fuse Was
Blown,
Vdr602 Was Leaky, And R623 Open.
Discovered A Quick Short-Cut To T/S This Beast. Lots Of Problems With
The
Audio Section. Here Is What I Did:
Pulled The A5 Plug From The P/S. The Set Came Up With Good Pix, Less
Audio
(Duh).
This Cable Supplies The Vcc For The Audio Op Ic'S. I Found That D1409
(39v)
Zener Was Shorted.
