Jim,
I believe you are correct as I have had to send NLA boards to Sony (such as
the "BR" boards for the KP53XBR200). Sony actually treats this as a "parts
order" and charges the last dealer price of the particular board. It sucks
if you had diagnosed it in the customer's home and left the set there, only
to find out after ordering the board, that it is NLA and must be sent out.
Now another trip is needed to the customer's home to extract the board plus
you must pay to ship the board the Sony's rebuilding facility in Mt
Pleasant, PA so be aware of this so you can charge those COD customer's
accordingly.
