Good point. We all realize that users fees will evolve, Webspace is no longer free. I got my money's worth. Beside the fact that we have some Super Technicians and a little bit of banter to discuss our woes. I think we will trim "clutter", and some may actually get something from this. Jay...Doug...Ty... we know you are there, some may not realize the "background" work that's involved in keeping this "fresh". Bob Waterman for his many submissions, and the rest who have helped to make this a place to get answers. Sometimes we just can't talk in resistors or transistors, and we may get sidetracked, want to blow a little bit of steam, bear with us, or send us to the Chat List. Which always seems to be an empty room.;-) We like to vent, with the biggest audience we have,.... fellow Technicians. I just wanted to mention...I have not checked on the Membership List lately, but some seem to sit in the background, will ask for help, periodically. But are either too busy, or don't have any input. -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada Servicing the Consumer Electronic Industry since 1963 teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of TechAssist Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 8:52 PM To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [TechAssist] Re: FCCID100.zip This site is very helpful to me and is different because the members supply everything (Tips, files, advice, webspace). All we do is to try and coordinate it all. The site sells nothing actually except for a place for techs to help each other. The site was developed out of need. No one ever sat down and said I am going to make a tech site. The site just slowly evolved out of need. I think what makes this site good is the quality of the membership. We keep the design down to just the basics. No flashy graphics or gimmicks just the data is important. I used to buy a schematic to id resistors and other fried parts. I only buy schematics now occasionally to troubleshoot.
