We give them a claim check showing a $25.00 diagnostic fee paid with an 
explanation that it will be applied to the final invoice. The final 
invoice may be $25.00 or more but never less. Signs on the wall explain 
that it is non-refundable. Simple! If someone does not want to pay up 
front, not a problem, take it elsewhere. We have plenty of paid jobs 
waiting. Sales tax? Not on labor in Indiana.
