Could be a bad flyback or maybe the ceramic screen filter cap on the crt
pcb. Or leakage in the crt socket. But the only Emerson I ever had with bad
uncontrollable focus was due to a defective crt, which I could not fix by
zapping the various elements. Why did you change the flyback?
