I recently signed up as an ASC for Daewoo so I posted this problem on their
web site Q&A section, also called and left message twice......it's been over
a week and no help from them!
The sound will get distorted after a long warm-up of an hour or more and
then gets so weak there is almost no sound. The set uses two KA2201 IC's to
drive the two speakers. The following is what I posted on their web site:

"IC's 602, 603 and 604 have been replaced and problem remains, After set is
on for about an hour the audio becomes distorted then drops out completely.
Probing IC 603 or 604 pin 3 with a scope there is a DC voltage of around 4
to 5 volts that starts counting down, or discharging, when this voltage
drops to around 2 volts the audio comes on.

Is there a fix for this problem?"

I have found that a 2.2K resistor added from pin 3 to ground keeps this
voltage from charging and fixes the problem while having very little effect
on the volume level.
Has anyone had this problem and found a fix or an authorized modification?
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
