The point of shipping only to the billing address of the credit card is to make sure you are not using a stolen credit card. Nothing is 100% but it sure makes sense and cuts risks. If you told these people calling that you could only ship to the credit card billing address I am sure they would just go away. -- Jay Knoll (TechAssist Monitor) Jay's TV Service Clarksburg, WV > The seller is NOT protected, unless they have an actual signature from the > customer. > Any Internet sale is at risk...at least that is what Visa told me. > If suspicious, ask for a faxed copy front and back of credit card and > signature and approval amount. > > Jeff Dougherty > Intrepid Video TV/VCR > 263 S Front St > Steelton PA 17113 > fax...717-564-4952 > www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jay Knoll" <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2004 6:09 AM > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: DVD's & Credit Card scam > > > I thought the rule was only ship products to the credit card billing > address?
