Ron-
Several choices for you.
You can get the USB cable Ty shows ( I found one at USSA.com for $8.00).
Or you can get a Hard drive adapter that will allow you to attach a laptop 
drive to a desktop. They sell for about $6.00.
With it you can transfer all data to a desktop and then back to the new 
drive. (I happen to have a USB adapter I can plug into which makes the 
process easier-  do not have to open my 'puter.)

You are going to need a third computer in any case since you cannot attach 
2 drives to a laptop without external equipment. They do make a PCMCIA card 
adapter to attach an external drive.
If you want to deal with floppies, I got a USB floppy drive from Officemax 
for $9.99 after rebate.
