Roger, Check your ac battery adapter for input working voltage range. The newer ones usually will work from 100-240vac, the frequency is not an issue with these units, just get an ac plug adapter. The modem line connector plug is also different, you can get an adapter for both online. The modem itself should work ok although it's suppose to be BABT approved for use in the UK..
