Yeah, I saw it. :-) Been seeing many of them too for some reason since yesterday. Since it is obviously happening to others, all I can suggest at this time is possibly a new virus. I personally have been receiving several viruses a day (and norton has recognized all of them), but there could be a new virus out that AV programs do NOT have the definitions for yet. I know of a few list members that got viruses (but not from this list) on their PC's and sent them out to members on an individual basis. Soooo.....all members can do is keep checking every few hours for updates for your respective AV software programs, (and since this list strips all attachments and converts HTML to plain text), watch VERY carefully all emails you get off-list. Don't open ANY attachments regardless of from whom they originate. If you use Outlook or OE, there's nothing you can do about HTML formatted emails since once they are in the preview pane, they ARE 'opened'. -Clint TechAssist Administration http://tech-assist.org techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "zeus" <zeus@xxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2001 7:29 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Computer help OK . I see I sent a blank message at 7:06 this am in response to CTC197 Repeated failure etc.. Well , I did not do anything to cause an e-mail to be sent. (nothing I am aware of) This has happened another time or two on another forum. Anyone know what is happening here ? As usual I'm confused. Almost like I have a hot key set up somewhere but I can find no pattern for this to happen.
