I have worked on a KDS KD-1500V. Symptoms were the HV partially came up
with no picture and the cure was L401 (KDS-8028) was burnt and Q407
(IRF9610) was shorted. Had to get the coil from KDS. The value was
3.9uH.

Kevin:

Ever work on a KDs KD-1500N ? I got one I set aside long
time
ago. Original problem was No Hv, burning smell from inside. Flyback was
cracked open, so I replaced it with one from KDS, along with (2) 1K ohm
1/4
Watt Resistors right near it that were fried. These part Values were
what
KDS told me.

Monitor Came on, but when you change resolutions, the
Horizontal seems to shrink, and theres not enough Horiz Gain to make it
full
screen. As you change Resolution from 640-480 & up, the Picture seems
to
get dimmer. I was told its probably something in the B+ circuit, but
cannot
find anything. (have heard a lot about KDS Coils ? ) Only a 15" screen,
so I
have set it aside for whenever I could get a drawing.
