With your pc off, remove the modem card and write down the fcc id number.
If you go to the FCC's web site you can search the number to find the
manufacturer.  Then go to their web site and download the driver.  Now I'm
assuming you have another pc to do all this with.  The other option is a bit
easier.  CompUSA has pci internal 56k modems for around $20-$30.  It might
be a bit less hassle to just replace it with a new one.  Then you have a the
driver disk if you need it again.  My experience with Compaq has always been
one of hassle so the latter suggestion might be better.
