[TechAssist] Canadian Sears Set Model C539-14240 stuck in demo mode ??

Hi guys, asking for another tech from Canada, says this is an old Sears
model C539-14240 and it`s stuck in some kind of a demo mode, told him
to try vol up/down at the same time, he says that doesn`t work, any ideas ?
He also added that he thinks it`s a Sanyo but not sure, tia
