Richard, I do no know if I can help here but I would like to tell you that I 
just worked on an RCA PTK CTC178L2B AJ chassis and just about went nutz trying 
to correct a pincushion hour glass problem. The RCA pin amp -- a FET IRF730 
with china stamped on it.. had the correct part number on the package and on 
the device but the device had the wrong polarity. Make sure something like this
