If they are really preprogramed,  why do you have to reset the Horz
parameters??  the tuner parameters must be saved or you will probably have
snowy channels esp. above 47 or so. The so called preprogramed eeproms are
just set to a average values and not necessarily  exact for your TV.
However if you don't have these higher channels in your area it may seem
aligned OK
