David,
Can you include the model number so we have an idea if you're talking about a 
direct view, or projection?
If direct view, try banging on the tuner or tapping the vertical IC heat sink 
to see if symptom changes.

Has anyone seen this before?
Vertical circuit checks out good, cannot find any faults!
This set, when first turned on, has a line across the middle of the screen,
while the relay degausses, then the vertical comes up good. Does it every
time.
Any known components to check out for this?       Thanks.        David.
