If your ide controllers are running in dos mode they will not recognize the
cdrom. If they are, it is probably because other devices are installed
several times.

Can' t un-install because there is nothing to un-install. CD-Rom is running
when a disc is put in.I do not have the installation disc. But it probably
wouldn't install it anyway. It was working fine until I tried to run
automan. Had problems and have not been able to use CD-Rom since. Had a
computer tech try to get automan to run and he removed some things. Don't
know if this caused a problem or not. Any ideas beside buying a new one ?
