[TechAssist] Broken Plasma TV screen- can chassis be harmed if plugged in?

I just obtained a scrap plasma TV, it is a 42" Fujitsu. The screen is
all cracked. If I would plug in the set, can damage to the chassis occur?
Bought it cheap just for the sake of learning something about these.
