Hello, Thanks for the reply. I just got in the third one with the same
problem, a Sylvania SSC091, about a year old. This one has the worst
picture, most of the pix is snow. I found that if you eject the
cassette and start again the band may change from the top to the bottom
or vice-versa. It is like the JVC of 10 years ago where the 3.3uf cap on
the cylinder motor would go bad. This may be similar like the gap to
the PG is too wide or a weak PG signal to the IC. So far no one has
approved the estimate to fix one of these but one customer gave us the
VCR so maybe I'll work on it. If I find an answer I will post it to the
list. John.
