Robert thanks for your reply. On my original post I listed the wrong diode that I shorted. The correct one is VD862 that I need the ratings on and pt #. The 16volts are there on N601.Pins 1&7 have1 volt on them. When I push mute button on remote pins 1&7 go to .1 volt.I can leap frog from pins 3&5 on IC N606 to pins 3&5 on IC N601 and get sound to spkrs. that are variable with volume control and sound is muted when I push mute on remote. I can only handle 5 meg on e-mail & even with that I have problems at times. Im not sure I have the resources to download from the members site.I would be willing to try with a little instruction. Thanks again tvservice wrote: > Jack > the audio ic is N601 TDA7057AQ > look for +16 volts at pin 4 comes thru 1 ohm R637 from source diode VD872 > #2czru4z on power board with R872 point27 ohm fusable resistor. > Mute is pin 1 and 7 thru R630 to collector of V631 2sc1815 > > hth > if you need schematic its about 10 meg I can send to you > or upload to member site > > Robert > tvservice@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > H & H Electronics Inc > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jack Latimer" <jac@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Monday, May 23, 2005 3:45 PM > Subject: [TechAssist] Apex AT2708S/CH-10C /VD873/ Z DIODE shorted, need #s > > > I beleive i shorted diode this during the initial troubleshooting i > > did. #s on diode are 25c6. > > This may not be the correct sequence.I am using a 5.6 v zener and set is > > operating > > in all ways except sound is muted.
