I have been using the RCA 237470 original 2SC5148 transistors in the Sony
for over a year and never had a problem, Prior to that I was a victim of
the Chinese knock off's, where they either blew up at turn on or ran red hot
and failed very shortly there after.Go with the RCA and save time and money
( only $2.50 ea).
