The first time I had this symptom I called Philips tech assist and was told of 
the open
10 ohm resistor and to change the IC on the CRT board. I did then, but 
afterward, all
others I only do the resistor, if the set gives a good picture.
I think they are underated.But still, an IC can go bad...
