Isn't this where you enter the service mode by press/release mute button on the
remote...press mute and
hold while pressing menu on TV. (S appears on screen).
Then press recall on remote while pressing channel up on TV..?

If it is Eeprom problem, before you change it, try restoring it to "Factory
Default". If you don't know how, email me in the morning, and I will send
you the set-up procedure.
