Spray the mode select switch on the side of the tape cassette carriage.

I have an old panasonic VCR PV-2800 type that shuts down intermittantly.
Unit plays then stops as if stop button is pushed. Press play again unit may
only load half way then gives up. I resoldered capstan drive IC and ribbon
to motor board as well as the PG pick up head. Any Ideas ?
