Can't get DBI and RMySQL working on Windows. DBI and RODBC work fine, but I
have always been leery of ODBC and wanted to go direct to MySQL skipping the
intervening layer. Is ODBC really a viable way to go??? Any comments on
this?
Another alternative is to access MySQL via Python which also works well.
Indeed running R via Rpy from Python seems like a really cool way to go.
