Dear Tech-Specs-
In my never ending quest for R material, stumbled across Professor
Buttrey's website at the US Naval Post Graduate College. He details the
core concepts of Splus/R beautifully and in plain speak. In terms of
getting up to speed in a short span of time, I've found this resource to
be one of the most efficient.

The topics-
Introduction to S-Plus, Data in S-Plus, Vectors, Matrices and Data
Frames, Lists and applying functions to them, Input and Output, How your
data is stored, Factors, Contrasts, Functions, Graphics, Text,
Missing Values, Multiple File Example, Some tips and tricks, Installing
R, Memory, Frames, Functions to know...
HTH,
Vince Fulco
