Hi Alex!

I thought we agreed on meeting at 16.15 on monday? I'm busy until 15.00 and
won't be able to make to the meeting at 13.00! Is the meeting with Andreas
still on at 16.15? It doesn't show in the calendar!

/Joachim

Hello everyone!

Please read the meeting reports (the new ones in the repository).
3 new: 10.11.2004 and 2 for today 11.

For the meeting i had with david today, here is ther resulting class
diagram.

Don't be scared, it may appear a bit unclear, but actually it is.
-A singleton is a unique object created for the whole system, nobody
will create instances of it. One unique instance is generated at
initialization time.
-All the exceptions thrown from PumpkinDB, for examples are just a way
of saying that a transaction went wrong. We'll have to define these
exceptions as well.

Also i explained to Joachim and Yusuf about the connection pool that we
will use. Briefly, it is just an object that holds connections to avoid
connecting and disconnectiong all the time to the Database.

Here is an article (Chapter 8) about how we will implement it.

Markus, could you have a look at it. By the way Markus sorry that we
took decisions without asking and discussing it with you... it's just
that i feel that we're really short on time, especially that we have to
start testing something that we haven't not yet created.
I hope you understand.

One last advice: I dunno if you noticed but in a directory you can check
for the last modifications by rightclicking, tortoiseSVN->(i don't
remember the exact name. should be log or something). This will be
useful, especially for the coding part.

One last remark: Rama don't write code in .doc or .rtf files!!! For the
futur, every time you write something, please make sure that it compiles
at least, so that we don't get too much mess in the repository. I advice
the coders to use eclipse (www.eclipse.org) to code, compile and run the
project. Also you will have to install some Java environment on your
workstations! You definetly need to compile and run java. Look at
java.sun.com and download a package like j2se, for example.

Tomorrow (Sunday) I'll start setting up the database (after reading
Fredrik's changes), and we have to start coding the UML diagram we
created.

See ya soon guys, and don't forget the meeting on monday!

Alex
