I'm voting for option one. Maybe joint recognition of Alex and Blaque... I'm not really sure if one acted more of a team leader than other. It was cool how animation team taught themselves how to use software. Maybe we could show animation at dinner? It is on youtube. Adam- Could you please forward this to all of the mentors? Mentors Here (see below) is the compilation of the feedback I received from the other mentors (I just cut and pasted for your emails) regarding the nomination of students for our different awards. In parentheses is the number of repeat nominations for that student for that award. I'm placing the order for the awards today. Some decisions need to be made...... All Star - Eli Excellence Under Pressure - Jared Option One: Think Outside the Bot - Mark Innovator of the Year - Alex and / or Blaque (for leading the animation team- I'm not sure who was the true leader but we can always give out two medals if it was shared leadership) Rookie of the Year- Morgan or Option Two: Think Outside the Bot - Alex Innovator of the Year - Mark Rookie of the year - Morgan (is a junior) or Natalie (is a senior) or Carly (is an 8th grader) or Option three: Any other suggestions?????? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Chris 2012 Rockford Robotics Awards Rockford Robotics All Star Award - Eli (4) Excellence Under Pressure Award - Jared (3) Think Outside the Bot Award - Mark, Alex (2) or Austin Innovator of the Year Award - Mark, I would like to nominate whoever led the Animation Sub-Team through to completion. I am not sure if it was an individual or a group effort. Although they had plenty of guidance and direction in the beginning, near the end the Animation sub-team ran themselves with apparently little to no mentor involvement (as far as I could tell). No other past sub-team performed at this level and it should be both acknowledged and encouraged. Rookie of the Year Award - Morgan, Natalie or Carly (preference in that order).
