I do not know how many times I have had to explain to folks that I am standing
on the right side of the ball.

I do not want to have to explain how lefties hit from the CORRECT side of the
ball; but I will anyway. Stand behind the ball and look down the fairway.
There are two sides relative to the ball; the LEFT side and the RIGHT side.
Think baseball, there is a LEFT field and RIGHT field.
Just as in baseball, the left handed folks stand on the RIGHT side of the
ball. Conclusion therefore is that right handed folks must stand on the WRONG
side of the ball. CORRECT?
