Either put it on a full trailer or buy a tow bar and pull it 4-wheels on the ground. If it's a straight axle conversion (IRS) then pull the drive axles out and you don't have to worry about it slipping into gear. But, 4 wheels on the ground, even if it does slip into gear all that'll happen is a rapid, unexpected stop. Pull the plugs and you will significantly reduce that effect as well (no compression). Those tow dollies have a movable top plate so if the bus slips into gear while on a dolly it's liable to twitch sideways and cause major issues. Ask anyone on the list if I know anything about towing a (Bay Window) bus. <grin> G2 On Mon, 17 May 2010 12:02:16 -0500 ken linoski <dblcab67@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > i am thinking of using a uhaul tow dolley to transport my transporter > (split window) across country and back. the kind of dolley where you > drive up and clamp down the front tires leaving the back tires on the > road. anybody got any tips/experience in this area? > > TIA Ken
