Sounds like it was a good trip. wish I could have been there. got Jumpin Joes
bus finished and on the road. worked on the vanagon for a while, got the
charging system working again but still having problems with it flooding,How do
you flood a fuel injected engine? This is starting to drive me batty. If anyone
out there knows about fuel injection, it can be a real pain when it doesn't
want to work right. I'm almost to the point of putting carbs on and being done
with it. but, i still have to pass emission tests so i don't know if that will
work. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm always willing to listen. ---Mark

Moberly's Volkswagen repair shop- Baton Rouge,La.
Went down I-10 to 12 to 190...
So we left work at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and headed for Baton Rouge.
The weather was wonderful. The drive was great. Bus ran very well,
once again. We arrived in Baton Rouge at 8:00 p.m. Dan called E.J.
to find out where Miss Goldie's Hamburgers was, we were on 190
(also called Florida). So all we really had to find was Flanery Rd.
then we would be at the BRAC meeting place. We ate hamburgers &
onion rings. We chatted with E.J.,Susan,Gary,etc. Westayed at E.J.'s
house in the driveway. E.J. and his wife Victoria offered us to stay in
their bedroom,of course Dan & I couldn't do that. Especially since
that is the reason we went to Baton Rouge was to camp.(And the
show also) E.J. and Victoria made us breakfast then we went to
show at 10am. Show was free and the Jumbalaya & drinks was
free.I got a $8.00 show shirt and a free show show shirt from last
years show. Dan & I won the "Long Distance" award. There was 2
cool Trikes,3 Buses, 2 Ghia's,3 Dunebuggie's,1 very cool
Speedster,1 MG kit car,a very sweet single cab,2 new bettles, and
lots of bug's.Total Volkswagens- 60. Show ended at 3pm. We went
back to E.J.'s house, ordered pizza, and watched "The Holy Grail".
We left in the morning at 9am. Got home at 3pm. The trip was
definately worth it,because of the nice Volkswagen people we met
and the show was great also. E.J. and Victoria was so nice to let us
stay at their house, eat their food, and use the shower.
The end.
