The reason for the LOL post earlier is that Bob the VW genius built Paul's with a bunch of scrounged parts for about $200. Rabbit parts and some later Vanagon parts or something like that. Have Paul give you Bob's VW Engineerings phone # and call him and talk to him. Apparently he can build anything and from everything I have seen on the Samba about rack and pinion on a splitty, Bob's the only one who has solved the problem. There is quite a discussion on R&P for the splitty on the samba, including Paul's installation. --- On Mon, 6/22/09, Mike Hayes <mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Mike Hayes <mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [tcb] Re: test To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Monday, June 22, 2009, 7:15 PM Alright smarty pants, This is the one I found http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=697442 Has anybody seen this used? w.wood wrote: > I think I will adapt electro-hydraulic steering on my project. bwahahahaha > > Of course I'll need a very, very large alternator... > > > > On Mon, Jun 22, 2009 at 7:00 PM, sammie smith <bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > <mailto:bugcollections@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>> wrote: > > LOL! > > --- On *Mon, 6/22/09, Mike Hayes /<mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx > <mailto:mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx>>/* wrote: > > > From: Mike Hayes <mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx>> > Subject: [tcb] Re: test > To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Date: Monday, June 22, 2009, 5:45 PM > > > > > Hey Paul, > I want to ask a question that has nothing to do with test.
