one little hole being early vs. late i don't think is a major ordeal worth calling the manufacturer about. especially if it is as easy as putting an earlier tie rod end on there. i can do that in about 5 minutes plus the cost of the end...which wouldn't hurt to replace...and an end cost everybit of what...$5-10 at the vw store? After speaking with chad he says it's possible that when they rebuilt the beam they put a splittie swing lever on there because the hole is smaller than that of a bay. so there are two options, one switch it out for the original to the bus one and pray it will fit the new beam, or two, buy a splittie tie rod end and use it instead...the question about the splittie tie rod end is will the threads on the rod side be the same size as what is on my draglink? if they are then i will just get a splittie end.
