got bad news for ya denis it is a t4 and so far she has been nice to me. except for the oil leak, gas leak and occasional missing. and besides whats wrong with a desiel rabbit? hmmmmm?

who here would stand by there gas heater and say it will never explode, catch on fire, and the bus will always be solid. i just want a garuntee. hell i would much rather have a gas heater than heat exchangers but i am scared of what i don't know i guess. so stand by it and i might look into it.

See what you've done, Cool Fred? You have everyone all excited about heater boxes. Do you have a type 4 engine? If you do then no one can help you, you are in Type 4 hell. The type 4 was when VW stopped loving us. Didn't VW give us the diesel Rabbit right after T4?

If you have T4 then you will just have to sell Caroline and consider her as a failed first marriage.

I say all this because I don't think you have a T4 in Caroline and I am, as they say, busting your chops.

Heater boxes are about the lowest tech. Call Way Out Salvage and buy them used. Take a Saturday and go pick them up. Oak Hill will also have them. Decide who is closer.
