You can certainly try the rtv. I know when I install a new plug, I always coat
it with RTV. And yes, there is no paper gasket between the rgb and spring
plate. Now, it could be leaking from where the axle tube goes into the rgb,
that's a major press in fit though

Gary, it is a big nut and appears to be on spring plate side (around the four
19mm bolts) do you think RTV will work?

Got my parts order in from CB Performance and hopefully I can make enough
moments to finish the remote oil filter setup on my bus. I have -yet again-
reduction box or axle seal leakage. I haven’t pulled off the drums yet to
see what’s going on. Bah. I think I’ve tried to fix the leaks three times
or so.
I’ve been wasting my time on my son’s ’74 Plymouth Scamp project. Got it
inspected, but the front end is still loose despite throwing a bunch of new
parts its way.
