Wolfsburg West has a DVD on how to put stuff on seats. I have it but I am not
at home until tomorrow night. I figure Wolfsburg would demonstrate the
horsehair for sure but I don't remember if they show or say anything about
foam.

I used a layer of canvas over my springs. I was told to hog ring the canvas on
so it would be tight. I couldn't get it tight with the hog rings so I sewed it
in place with a really thick nylon string for a hardware store. Then I used
the horsehair pads. (The canvas would help prolong the life of the horsehair
pads.). Horsehair pads did in a few places need to be trimmed.

In the covers where there are strings that are there to pull the cover on
tight, if they looked wimpy I replaced them with stronger stuff like metal wire
or a thin metal rod were the pointy things get pushed through the vinyl so the
vinyl would not be able to rip all of the way through. I hope this makes sense.

When I get home, I can put the DVD in the mail so you can see if there is
anything helpful on it.

My covers were made by West Coast Classic. In theory they are supposed to be
better than TMI but I am not so sure of that.

I ruined the top part on my middle seat cover when I inserted the handle that
goes along the top. I was actually following the way it is supposed to be
done. I am waiting for a replacement cover but when I put it on I will do it a
different way, not the way it technically should be done. It should come out
looking better.

My point here is that I believe it is important to go slow and often think
outside of the box to achieve the best looking, longest lasting seats. But I
am no expert.
