That model has a medal catch in front that flated out and allows the top to 
move up and down you can agust the two brackets to get less movement. On road 
trips you can strap it expecily in the cold to stop drafts.

i noticed driving back from t@tp that my top makes a crackling 
noise...especially in heavy wind and when semi's pass me. 

is this normal? anything to do that would prevent this? top has all new seals 
on it.
