That's it.  If it was bolted it would be a barndoor to early 55.  Also it would 
work well on a Kubel

Not sure exactly what you mean by the outer axle tube reinforcement, but if you 
mean the manner in which the tube is attached to the inner plate of the redux 
box, it is pressed in and set with the pin just as in the later tunnel case 
tranny.

In the process of salvaging busses today I picked up a split case bus tranny 
complete through redux boxes.  This is a SPLIT case tranny, not tunnel case, 
which is correct I believe for an early 59 and earlier bus.  Maybe even a barn 
door.  Anyway, stamped #';s are 2A1732461.  Peter, Will, any help on value if 
any and does any one have any need for it?  And is there any way to id year 
from the #?
