Hey, when I towed to the Cal Classic last year we had 75-80 mph headwinds in West TX. Jack Flash in his big motored split window was traveling I 40 east of Albugurque at the same time and encountered 100 mph head winds. Said he could only make headway in 3rd gear. Sailing in a bus only works when you are traveling with the wind. There ain't no tacking on the Interstate. We could rig a sail and catch those high plains winds. 70 miles tops. It would be like a real prarie schooner. -----Original Message----- From: sammie smith Sent: Feb 21, 2008 1:59 PM To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tcb] Re: bug in bug out OT Naw! I was talking about driving it. Figured I could make about 50 miles a day. With a tail wind. Will Wood <evilscientistboo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: That's on a trailer right? You forget, I have a slightly overkill DC that can make it in about a day. -----Original Message----- From: sammie smith Sent: Feb 21, 2008 11:21 AM To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tcb] Re: bug in bug out OT You otta get something fast, like my panel van. Think the true leaders are all riding around in a VW bus trying to get away from it all. Will Wood <evilscientistboo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: LOL... Just think about it... Your choices for President this year are one or more of the following combinations: The First Black President. The First Muslim President. The First Woman President. The First Ex President living in the white house with the current President. A real "Manchurian" candidate. Ennis isn't about politics, it's about VWs and *Control* -----Original Message----- From: sammie smith Sent: Feb 20, 2008 7:32 PM To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tcb] Re: bug in bug out I knew when I made that statement that some wiseacre would come up with a Hillary or Obama comment.
