Good point but I like to keep maxc pressure due to the weight I'm carrying.

44 sounds like the max under max load.  My 1/2 ton Dodge truck takes 44 
psi max but, I run them at 36 psi.  Operating pressure is lower than the 
max.  Most cars have a 32-36 psi operating psi.  If you run 44 psi you'd 
probably wear a bald strip right in the center of the tire.
