HERE IS THE FIRST MESSAGE FROM MY WiFi IN THE GARAGE!!!

Are we gonna put that tranny in the Rivi while you are here? If so, that
will be way cool. Do we need a transmission jack to get it up and into the
Rivi while the Rivi is on the rack? I am all excited.

G2 is still planning to leave tomorrow or Wednesday. It's about 500 miles
if I drive up the backroads and only see Interstate Highways as they cross
my path at right angles.

I'm allowing a GENEROUS estimate of 12 hours driving time. That's an
average speed of about 40mph which can include things like driving 80mph
for an hour then stopping for an hour to try to figure out what that funny
noise coming from under the truck hood is. Or, if I average 60 for 3 hours
I can stop for an hour.

And since I'm allowing 24 - 36 hours for the whole trip and I'll only have
to drive 12 of those at 40mph I'll have 12 - 24 hours to camp/sleep/watch
the grass grow/whatever.

I want a trip that is NOT like my two haul-ass Arizona trips each year
where I leave some time Wednesday and arrive before dawn Friday at a show
site 1500 miles away.

Not sure if I'll leave Tuesday or Wednesday because I got called away on
family business on my 4 day off week last week so the tranny I need for
the
Rivi is still only 3/4 removed from the Kombi. And that storage unit where
it sits hits 140 easy during the day. I'm about to take a nap until near
dark then head down there to finish pulling it (50 miles away).

Anyway, if anyone else can leave early and wants to drive sideways to meet
me somewhere on Hwy 96 or 59 just yell out. I'm going straight north from
Silsbee, TX on 96/59/71/412 into Springdale. GPS running so I just have to
stay on (or near) the green line.
