We all know that Splitties are the best vehicle in the world. We all know this.
but we also know how much work they are. Body, paint, glass, mechanicals. She
is in college far away, so it will take her forever or cost a big bag of money.

Splitties are the simplest mechanically. None of that CV joint and brake
booster, etc. Bays are too heavy for the 1600, so she would have to have a big
Type 1 built or go to the Type 4, which no one can fix, especially a youngster.

I say she needs a pre-SuperBeetle Vert. Easy to fix, small, fun, fairly?common,
not a huge cash outlay.
