I agree with trying Austin VeeDub first. They have a huge bone yard.

Kenny Hill is a nice guy but you will pay more to him than you would pay if
you got it imported from Germany. He keeps very little vintage in stock, and
will charge you full retail plus additional for shipping.

My 2 cents. I used to try to buy local but I found considerably better prices
elsewhere. And if I have to pay shipping then I'd rather have it delivered to
my door.

You might try posting on the austin page of www.aircoolers.org for more local
input.

Awsome, thanks for the info. I am going to have to call them next week. Austin
Would be so much easier than Canada. LOL. Plus I could look at the part before
I buy.

shop but also have a fairly large salvage yard with a lot of later model VW
stuff. Kenny Hill would be my next shot. Good VW repair shop and has some
salvage stuff. Vintage Wizard has a lot of salvage/parts busses but is mostly
early split stuff. Both Austin VW and Kenny Hill also are rather large repair
operations and suppliers of new parts. Julie Maroney (on the tcb list) can
give you the real heads up on John the Vintage Wizard.

In Austin try Austin VW. Located on Old Bastrop Highway out near the airport.
Also the Vintage Wizard (John) out towards Bastrop. Would try Austin VW first.
Also Kenny Hill has a good shop in Austin. Can supply phone #s if you need me
to look them up.
